Change Lives Today: Donate to Support Girl Child Education

The phrase, “Educate a girl, educate a nation” in a nutshell expresses the importance of girl child education. Time and again reformers, leaders, and influencers have quoted similar thoughts because no matter the era, the woman of the house has always been the primary caretaker of the family; and education can enable her to contribute for the betterment and well-being of the entire family in a significant way thereby creating a ripple effect of the power of education resulting in the development of the nation.

In our mission towards facilitating rural education development, we have closely witnessed the socio-economic challenges that deter rural children from accessing quality education and opportunities for overall development. In the case of girls, this is topped with gender-biased discriminations that curb them from not just education, but also their well-being and quality of life. To address this, we established campuses separately for boys and girls in rural hinterlands. This enables easy accessibility and acts as an assurance for the parents that their children will stay closer to the village.

Fostering equal opportunity

At the Each One Educate One Foundation, we provide equal opportunities to both boys and girls. We have 28 campuses covering 20 districts in Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, and Telangana. So far, we have transformed the lives of more than 18,000 rural children and youth and at present, we are educating and nurturing 3,000 rural, underprivileged children in our campuses.

Bringing our focus to educating girls, we have six exclusive girls campuses with over 1000 girls from rural, socio-economically disadvantaged communities. These girls are at varying levels of education starting from Grade 6 to PhD level, including Medical Studies. They are the recipients of our robust end-to-end education ecosystem that ensures seamless transition from one academic level to the next and complete well-being covering nutrition, accommodation, health, daily care, skilling, development, and employability – all totally free-of-charge.

Transforming lives of rural girls every day

The inspiring stories of our students are a testimony to the impact of our efforts and a motivation for us to continue our mission of ensuring girl child education as a part of our rural education development programs.

In Tirupur, where my mother was working as a laborer, most girls worked in the Banian industries. These girls were not treated well and they also developed lung disorders and other health issues. I came to know about this institution from other girls studying here from my village, Sirumalai. I joined the Gurukulam in 6th grade. Initially, I was not very keen to stay in the hostel, but my teachers and friends comforted me and now I feel at home here.

If not for this institution, I too would have been one of the girls in the Banian industries. I am very grateful for the opportunity I have received. I am determined to make the best use of it for my personal development and for the betterment of the society.”

Rifa M., a 2nd year MBBS student at SMSIMSR says, “I am honored to have achieved the top score of 88% in the 1st Year MBBS exams! I come from a humble background; my parents are high school teachers in a private school in Chennarayapatna, Hassan district, Karnataka. When I first joined this college, my family and I had our doubts, wondering if we had made the right decision. However, as time passed, I realized I was in the perfect place for my education and growth.

Our institution is guided by a team of highly qualified professors who are not only experts in their respective fields but also deeply committed to nurturing the potential of every student through personalized mentorship. The institution places a strong emphasis on cultural and personal development. I also found great inspiration in the teaching from the Gita about doing one’s best and leaving the results to God. This principle resonated with me profoundly, and I am incredibly grateful to Allah for guiding me to such a wonderful college. I also realized that the teachings closely resembled the lessons I had learned from the Holy Qur’an at home. The messages were the same; only the languages differed.

What truly touched my heart was the kindness shown to me during Ramzan. The wardens and other staff ensured I received my meals before sunrise, even waking up earlier than I did, so I could observe my fast without any difficulty. Their love and sacrifice moved me deeply. I owe my heartfelt thanks to our Revered Founder Sri Madhusudan Sai and everyone who made my journey here so enriching and meaningful.”

Enable more girls to shine bright

Our emphasis on the importance of girl child education does not stop at just imparting quality academics, rather we enable them to stand on their feet as empowered, independent, skilled individuals through a plethora of personality and skill development activities and training programs.

As we continue our journey in transforming the lives of rural, under-served girls, we invite you to join our rural education development programs so that together we can create a profound impact in the lives of thousands of girls, their families, and the society at large.
