On 29 July 2026, we celebrated the Fifth Convocation of Sri Sathya Sai University for Human Excellence, marking a significant milestone in our journey of nurturing young minds through completely free-of-charge, values-based education.
Guided by the theme “Sarve Bhavantu Sukhinah” – May All Be Happy, the convocation reflected a simple yet profound idea: education reaches its highest purpose when knowledge is guided by character and used for the welfare of others.
A Celebration of Knowledge, Character, and Service
The ceremony was graced by His Highness Maharaja Yaduveer Krishnadatta Chamaraja Wadiyar, Member of Parliament, Mysuru-Kodagu, and Head of the Mysuru Royal Family, as the Chief Guest. The occasion was held in the esteemed presence of Sri Madhusudan Sai, Founder Chancellor; Sri B N Narasimha Murthy, Chairman, Prashanthi Balamandira Trust and Dr Srikanta Murthy K, Vice-Chancellor. This year, we carried forward our journey through the values that have shaped our previous convocations. The ceremony reaffirmed our belief that true progress is achieved when scientific advancement, technology, and professional excellence are guided by compassion, inner transformation, and a commitment to the welfare of society.
Moments from the Fifth Convocation
We are a non-profit organisation dedicated to transforming the lives of rural, underprivileged children through free-of-charge, holistic, values-based residential education.
We identify children from socio-economically challenged backgrounds and provide complete educational support.
This includes:
119 Graduates Step Forward
The Fifth Convocation celebrated a remarkable cohort of students, each completing a journey shaped by learning, perseverance, and purpose.
Honouring Excellence Across Six Fields
We also conferred Honorary Doctorates upon seven distinguished personalities whose contributions span science, technology, sports, arts, healthcare, education, and public service.
Taking Education Beyond the University
The convocation also marked the introduction of new programmes and initiatives, including the Voluntary Farmer Certification Scheme, through which 138 farmers were recognised for their commitment to sustainable agriculture.
We believe knowledge is not meant to exist in isolation. We strive to ensure that what our students learn contributes meaningfully to society and the welfare of others.
A Future Guided by Purpose
The Fifth Convocation was more than a ceremony marking the completion of academic programmes. It was a moment to celebrate the people, values, and collective effort behind every graduate’s journey.
Through our commitment to completely free-of-charge, values-based integral education, we strive to nurture not only knowledge and professional competence but also character, compassion, and a spirit of service.
As our 119 graduates step into their next chapter, we carry with us the spirit of “Sarve Bhavantu Sukhinah” – May All Be Happy, inspiring them to use their knowledge and abilities for the welfare of others.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to our donors, CSR partners, patrons, well-wishers, volunteers, faculty, staff, parents, and every supporter whose trust and contribution continue to strengthen our mission and make this journey possible.
