Our Guru always wants the best for us and He goes the extra mile to ensure it. So, the best way to honor our Guru is to follow the values and life lessons He taught us.
Guru Dakshina on Guru Purnima
Guru Dakshina is a traditional way of thanksgiving to our Guru after completing the process of education. It is an offering to the Guru as a sign of our respect and acknowledgment of the Guru’s effort in helping us learn and grow.
No matter what we give, it can never equal to what our Guru has given us. So, the best way to honor our Gurus is to lift others out of darkness and ignorance by enabling them to acquire knowledge and wisdom.
Let us be grateful to our Guru for sharing His light of knowledge with us and let us be selfless in sharing this light with the ones after us!
This Guru Purnima, let’s pass on the opportunity of quality education and all-round development to our younger brothers and sisters as a sign of Guru Dakshina.
