We partner with institutions that share our vision for education as a tool for collective empowerment as well as individual transformation, and, therefore, offer education at no cost to the students.

Presently, the Foundation supports partner schools and colleges established by the Sri Sathya Sai Loka Seva Gurukulam Institutions, by taking care of the students’ cost of education. All our partner schools are located in the rural hinterlands and offer high quality, holistic, values-based education to rural children, with absolutely no cost to them. By offering such education to all these deserving children, we make quality education – an important pre-requisite for responsible citizenship – easily accessible.

Education For Transformation

The goal is to take this model of education to every district in India, with the near-term target being to cover all 30 districts in Karnataka. Our current educational footprint is shown in the graphic.

The Foundation, through its triad of Edu-Care programs, sponsors the education costs of all the students and additionally, the living costs of the needy and deserving students. A rural child who joins the school is provided with a unique opportunity to pursue her studies until she completes her Bachelors, Post-graduate or even a Doctoral degree, all provided free of cost!

Our Network of Schools

All our partner schools practice the three cardinal principles of:

  • Offering values-based, holistic education
  • Providing it free of cost
  • Establishing these fully residential campuses in the rural hinterlands to cater to the needy & underserved rural populace.

Presently, we support the education of children studying in the network of schools that are run and managed by the Sri Sathya Sai Loka Seva Gurukulam.

What a Child Gets

The e1e1 initiative gives a child access to an education system that offers the best of the yore and contemporary. All the schools we work with are:

  • have sprawling campuses set amidst nature
  • are fully residential
  • encourage self-reliance and simple living
  • are ecologically sustainable
  • have modern infrastructure, facilities & equipment

Our schools provide a great setting for the teachers to impress upon children the importance of practicing universalism and human values. The teachers lead by example, allowing the children to appreciate its importance by observation first and practice next.

Our Activities On-Campus

The e1e1 initiative offers volunteering opportunities to:

  • Train students in music, sports, cultural activities, etc.
  • Undertake environmental activities like greening the campus, rain-water harvesting, etc.

Visit a Campus

One can also plan a visit with family to any of these serene & picturesque campuses over the weekend. It is indeed a very magical and rejuvenating experience to mingle with the lively & innocent children there. Breath-taking performances of the children during the Annual Sports & Cultural Meet in January every year is another magnificent opportunity to watch them unleash their true potential on the playground or the stage
