NURTURING A DREAM OF HEALING LIVES WITH COMPASSION
I hail from Hassan, where I grew up in a family with my mother as the sole breadwinner due to my father’s health issues. My mother overcame countless financial challenges to raise me. Despite the hardships, I always carried a dream to make a meaningful difference in society, particularly in the field of medicine.
I joined the institution at the Sri Sathya Sai Sathyaniketanam, Hassan campus, in the 7th grade, where I received nurturing and personal guidance that helped shape my educational journey.
After completing Pre-University, I got the opportunity to pursue a bachelor's in nursing at the Sri Madhusudan Sai Institute of Medical Sciences & Research, a newly established free-of-charge medical college, fulfilling my desire to progress in the medical field.
The institution provides practical exposure and training at the hospital starting from the first semester, which is unique and enhances our knowledge. This training, from the very beginning, helps us understand the importance of this noble profession.
One of the most meaningful moments during my training was caring for an elderly woman with chronic hypertension, where I could offer her compassionate care and educate her on managing her condition.
Her gratitude when she was discharged from the hospital moved me and has left a lasting impact on me.
I look forward to completing my course and serving the community through compassionate healthcare.
