Every child deserves a chance.

Education is not just about academics; it’s about nurturing confidence, resilience, and gratitude. As a teacher at Sri Sathya Sai Krishnaanikethanam, Kolar Campus, I’ve had the privilege of witnessing many such transformations. Here are two journeys that have stayed close to my heart—stories of courage, grit, and grace.

A young girl from a Kannada-medium background once applied to our Grade 6 class. I asked her how she’d manage in English. With quiet confidence, she replied, “Ma’am, I can manage. Just give me one chance.” Her determination touched me deeply—and I gave her that chance. Today, she’s thriving—academically and personally—proving that one opportunity can transform a life.

Another student aged 12 had recently lost her mother to cancer. During an essay competition, she dedicated her piece to Dr Muthulakshmi Reddy. Her mother had received support from Dr Reddy during treatment, and this had left a lasting impact. Now, this young girl dreams of becoming an oncologist—to serve those in need. Her story is a moving reminder of resilience, gratitude, and purpose.

These stories remind me every day of the power of opportunity and the strength within every child. Together, let’s continue to support and uplift young minds.
