Pranav's parents work as Government school teachers in the Chikkaballapur district of Karnataka. He joined the Sri Sathya Sai Vidya Kendra CBSE School for Grade 6, during which time his passion for music was encouraged by his teachers and parents. Pranav completed certification courses at the Junior level under the Karnataka Education Board for Harmonium, Carnatic Vocal, and Hindustani Vocal. He continued to complete Senior Grade Certification for Hindustani Vocal.
