A Silver Lining Amidst Despair
My family plunged into an unprecedented darkness when my father tragically passed away during the COVID-19 pandemic. My mother, who was left alone to fend for us, struggled tirelessly to make ends meet. The lockdown not only closed doors to jobs, but also pushed us into poverty. In those bleak moments, when hope itself seemed like a distant dream, a silver lining emerged in the form of the Covid Sahay Scholarship program that gave me admission in Sri Sathya Sai Anantaniketanam Campus. Here, I studied from Grade 6 to 8. Currently, I am at Sri Sathya Sai Sharadaniketanam, Mandya Campus pursuing Grade 9. It wasn’t just an opportunity; it was a lifeline that revived hope and strength in my mother’s heart, and in mine too! Ever since I stepped into the Gurukulam, my life has transformed in ways I could never have imagined. Academics, sports, music, and other art forms – the Gurukulam embraced and nurtured every facet of my innate potential. It was music that truly captured my heart and became my dream, my passion, my driving force. At this Gurukulam, I found my calling in life. After my schooling, I aspire to pursue the Bachelor of Performing Arts course in our University and become a musician.
