Embracing Challenges: A Path to Nursing and Compassion
I am Kaviya from Kanchipuram, Tamil Nadu. I lost my parents when I was just a small girl. Subsequently, my life unfolded within the Sri Perumbudur Orphanage and school. Despite these adversities, I achieved a remarkable 96 percent in my PUC. I owe this achievement to the guidance and encouragement I received from my Zoology teacher, who also directed me to choose Nursing—a profession that resonated with my heart’s calling to care for others. I am thankful to the Almighty for leading me to Sri Madhusudan Sai Institute of Medical Studies and Research where I am pursuing Nursing. Beyond academic pursuits, this institution prioritizes instilling human values, a crucial attribute for anyone aspiring to become a compassionate healthcare professional. My ambition is to complete my BSc. in Nursing, followed by MSc. and PhD. I wish to steadfastly commit to the service of the sick and ailing in rural underserved communities, and pay forward the generosity I have been fortunate to receive. Within this inclusive community, I discover immense joy, where love pervades, echoing the profound ethos of “Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam” – One World, One Family.
