EXCELLENCE ANCHORED IN CHARACTER
I come from Othihal village in Sindagi Taluk, Vijayapur District. My father is a teacher, and my mother is a homemaker. I am the first person in my family to complete graduation - and I was blessed to graduate as a gold medallist in BSc Chemistry and Zoology.
Before joining this institution in the 6th grade, I was not able to explore my talents, nor did I experience quality education rooted in human values. Here, I received free, value-based education that relieved my father of financial burden and gave me a new direction in life. My academics improved drastically, and I developed a deeper understanding of my subjects. I discovered my love for literature and began writing Kannada poems. With the University's encouragement, I was able to publish two poetry books. I am also a part of the Sai Symphony Orchestra, where I discovered my passion for Western music and learned multiple instruments.
The teachers and mentors were always available to guide me. The labs, library, hostel, and all facilities were beyond my imagination and allowed me to study without worry. There was a challenging time for my family when my father had to undergo a critical hip surgery. During that time, the institution supported us not only financially but also emotionally, which gave us strength and hope. I wish to pursue my Master's degree and aspire to become a teacher.
