Continuing a Journey of Excellence, Devendra D N Clears Prestigious DBT-BET

We are proud to share that Devendra D N has successfully cleared the DBT-BET (Department of Biotechnology – Biotechnology Eligibility Test)—a prestigious national-level fellowship awarded by the Department of Biotechnology, Ministry of Science and Technology, Government of India. This fellowship supports talented students in pursuing doctoral research in biotechnology and life sciences across reputed institutions in India.

Devendra’s academic journey is a shining example of commitment and perseverance. Hailing froDevendra m Doddaballapura village, Devendra joined our Mandya campus for his secondary education and continued through PUC and graduation in life sciences, during which he was conferred with the All-Round Gold Medallist award for his outstanding academic and co-curricular performance. He then pursued and completed his post-graduation in life sciences, further deepening his research interest.

Demonstrating consistent academic excellence, Devendra also qualified for the UGC-CSIR NET for Lectureship with an All-India Rank of 106. He is currently pursuing a Ph.D. focused on genomic and proteomic biomarkers of MASLD (Metabolic Dysfunction-Associated Steatotic Liver Disease). In addition to his academic milestones, Devendra has actively contributed to research and publishing. He has co-authored book chapters in reputed publications such as Elsevier's Academic Press and Iterative International Publishers.

Devendra comes from a humble background—his father works as a Vastu consultant, and his younger brother is currently pursuing MBBS at Sri Madhusudan Sai Institute of Medical Sciences and Research (SMSIMSR).
