Title: Freedom from the Fetters of Poverty & Gender Inequality

I’m Bhagyashri, from Kembhavi Village of Yadgir District. I am currently pursuing my 1st year B.A. in Economics and Computer Applications at the Sri Sathya Sai University for Human Excellence.

I lost my father when I was in Grade 3 in my village school. This loss plunged my family into a challenging phase. My mother worked as a cook, shouldering all the responsibilities of the family. A few years later, this institution in Chikkaballapur emerged as a beacon of hope amidst the darkness, and coming here was a pivotal point in my life.

In a society where education for girls often takes a backseat, this institution welcomed me warmly and bestowed upon me the gift of free, values-based education. It became a source of empowerment for me. My mother and I deeply value the support and care we have received from this haven of knowledge, wisdom and holistic development.

This institution has not only reshaped my life but also instilled in me a strong desire to serve others. It is my aim and aspiration to give back to society by dedicating myself to the noble cause of providing such education to those who cannot access and afford it.
