Sembcorp Sponsors 60KW Solar-powered Electrification Plant

A 60KW solar powered electrification plant was inaugurated last week, at our Sri Sathya Sai Karunyaniketanam Gurukulam (for boys) in Sira Taluk of Tumkur District. The installation was sponsored by Sembcorp Energy India Ltd a leading renewables player in India & Asia, under their CSR initiatives. Sembcorp Energy is a subsidiary of Sembcorp Industries, a listed company under the Temasek Holdings stable of companies. The event was graced by our Revered Founder, Sri Madhusudan Sai; Sri T B Jayachandra, Special Representative to Delhi from the Government of Karnataka; Sri C B Suresh Babu, MLA of Sira Constituency; Sri Sanjeev Kumar, Head of CSR, Head Corporate QHSE & Sustainability at Sembcorp Energy, our esteemed patrons Smt. Shantini & Sri Thiagarajan from Singapore who facilitated the relationship, and Sri Sunil Narang, Trustee - Each One Educate One Foundation. We thank Sembcorp Energy India Limited profusely for this renewable energy power plant that will not only help meet the electricity needs of the entire campus, but also help further our commitment to meeting the environmental goals of ‘Affordable and Clean Energy’ under the UN SDG 7, across all our campuses.
